Course Description
This one-day workshop provides participants with a foundation in the use of dynamical systems to model and manage fishery resources sustainably. Featuring lectures from two world-renowned experts, the course focuses on population dynamics, mathematical modeling, and policy implications for sustainable fisheries. Designed to bridge theory and practice, the session will also explore real-world applications with a focus on developing countries and coastal ecosystems.
Learning Objectives
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Understand the fundamental concepts of dynamical systems in ecological modeling.
- Explore how population dynamics models are developed and validated.
- Learn to apply modeling techniques to fisheries sustainability scenarios.
- Gain exposure to international research efforts in sustainable resource management.
